Five dangerous liars. One impossible assassination. A crown only one of them can claim.

The ruthless God King Joon rules Yusan with an immortal hand, allowing the powerful to flourish while the poor are imprisoned, ruined, or sold. Now five of the kingdom’s most dangerous killers and deceivers have been summoned for one purpose: kill the king.

Among them are a hired hitman seeking redemption, a deadly poison maiden desperate for freedom, a charming thief, and a banished prince with his own reasons for revenge. They can agree on murder and treachery—but trusting one another may prove even more dangerous than confronting the king.

Every member of the group is hiding something. Alliances will shift, attraction will grow, and betrayal could come from anyone. Only one can take the crown, so let the best liar win.

What is a Rescued Book?

A Rescued Book is a previously loved book that still has plenty of story left to give. It may show signs of its past life—like cover wear, bent corners, creases, markings, or other imperfections—but it’s still ready to be read and loved again.

What kind of wear or damage should I expect?

Every rescued book is different! You may find scuffs, creases, worn edges, stickers, writing, or other signs of previous ownership. Some may have only minor cosmetic flaws, while others are a little more well-loved. The imperfections are part of their story.

Why choose a Rescued Book instead of buying new?

Because great stories deserve another chapter! Rescued Books are a budget-friendly way to discover your next read while giving a perfectly readable book a new home. Plus, there’s something special about knowing your book has already been part of someone else’s reading journey—and now it gets to be part of yours.
